Has it ever been vocalized?
Have we really asked the question out loud?
Can activewear be worn about casually and is it appropriate to do so?
Someone would say activewear is not fashionable or shouldn’t be a fashion statement as such… more functional…
Others would argue that Pilates outfits are a perfect fit for brunch dates and long coffee walks.
Each to their own - I say. But ever since I can remember, active-wear is my favorite dress code. Not only is the stretch factor a plus because I hate feeling locked in or dysfunctional for better use of a phrase. Wearing my leggings with a t-shirts and sneakers feels like heaven to me. No tight buttons or zips around my stomach, as well as full flexibility whatever I do and however i sit in the car or decide to walk around the park. Active wear is just a win-win combination for most of my day-dates, shopping, running errands, yoga class / coffee sessions... the list goes on!
Without my trendy, soft and colorful varieties of buttery soft jumpsuits, leggings, shorts, parachute pants and hoodies - i don't know what i would wear. Definitely not tight fitted non-stretch denim; nor dainty dresses or skirts. That's a NO for me. Might I add - what can be better than a puffer (my preference is a north-face) in the winter months teamed with a simple seamless jumpsuit and matching trainers.. Cloud nine or what!?
What about you? Is you active-wear more like your day-to-day uniform too?
